Barbara Rose Edwards, age 78, passed away on July 13, 2004 after a short illness. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Hemple; four children, Charles Edwards and wife Barbara of Bulverde, Junenell and husband, George Lachepelle of Nebraska, Rick Edwards and wife Yolanda of San Antonio, and Renee Edwards of Rhode Island. Her grandchildren, Angelyn Levinthal of Houston, Aimee Edwards of Austin, Zachary Edwards of Bulverde, Derrick Gerloff and Ellie Edwards of San Antonio; two great grandchildren, Chandler and Kendall of Houston also survive her. She also leaves behind her brothers, Beau, Mickey and Paul Champagne; sisters, Teresa Galloway and Lou Dye. "Gram will be greatly missed by all those who loved her; her sense of independence and self-reliance have taught us to be stronger and persevere when life is not perfect."
