Barbara Irene (Krolick) Hastings, 86, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished family memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Born on June 18, 1939, to Steve and Mary Krolick, Barbara graduated from Curwensville High School in 1957. On April 15, 1961, she joined hands in marriage with her beloved Robert Daniel “Dan” Hastings, beginning a beautiful journey that would span over 64 years.
Barbara found her greatest joy in life's simple pleasures - creating delicious meals for her family, embarking on long road trips with Dan, and spending precious moments with her beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Lindsey. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and the enticing aromas of home-cooked meals, where family gatherings became treasured memories.
A dedicated mother to five sons, Barbara's nurturing spirit and unconditional love shaped their lives in countless ways. Though preceded in death by her eldest son, Scott Hastings, her maternal love continued to strengthen the bonds of her family. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mary Krolick, and her sister, Denise Schaeffer.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert D. Hastings, and her sons, Todd, Mark, Kurt, and Sean Hastings, her grandchildren, Tyler and Lindsey, and her sister, Nanette Jameson-Lee.
Her greatest achievement was creating a home where love, laughter, and family always came first. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Barbara's legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
