

Bobi Stern was born in Bronx New York on October 11, 1949 and died on November 7, 2023 in Austin Texas. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Charles and Edith Pearl and husband Dr. George I. Stern. Bobi is survived by her daughter Rachel Stern (Scott Pullen), son Matt Stern (Kathyrn O’Dell), sister Iris Lieberman (Warren), grandchildren, Mara Stern, Jake Stern, Gabe Komerfosky, Lainey Komerofsky, Maddie Pullen, Charles Pullen, and Rhys O’Dell, nephews Evan Liebeman and Mark (Nina) Lieberman, and great nephew Niko Lieberman.
She attended Walton HS in the Bronx and upon graduation went to the Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in NYC. She was proud of her service as a head nurse at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC before moving to San Antonio in 1974 with her family.
Bobi loved her family and friends intensely. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. She remembered her travels to Israel and Europe fondly with her family and nursing school classmates. She was a religious school teacher for over 35 years at Temple Beth-El and Congregation Agudas Achim. She kept in contact with many of her students long after she stopped teaching.
She served the community as President of Temple Beth-El of San Antonio, President of the San Antonio Jewish Community Center, active in many roles with the United Way of SA, and worked with numerous social service organizations.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Brad Kayser, the Staff of Brookdale Assisted Living in San Antonio. and Sedona Trace Long Term Care in Austin for their loving care.

A private burial will be at Temple Beth-El Memorial Park Friday, November 10, 2023 followed by a 12:00 p.m. memorial service and reception at Temple Beth-El.
