Basil Walker Tsacalis, 50, entered eternal peace on August 14, 2016. Basil is survived by his loving parents William and Marie Tsacalis of Cincinnati, his brother and sister-in-law Ernest and Joan Tsacalis of San Antonio, and his niece and nephew Desi and Paul Tsacalis of San Antonio, whom he adored. Basil grew up in Manhasset, New York, and spent much of his adult life in Boston before moving to San Antonio to be closer to his family.
Basil was a talented, gentle, and empathetic man who touched many lives. He loved listening and laughing. He had a real passion for camping, cats, woodworking, gadgets, and the arts. Basil had a free and generous spirit--and is deeply missed by all who knew him.
Private services are being held for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
