Ben first attended Discovery School and from Montessori to his Junior year in Upper School he attended Saint Mary's Hall.
He received several academic and sports awards.
On July 21, 2004 he proudly achieved Eagle Scout Rank with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Spanish Club, worked with Theater Tech and volunteered at the Humane Society.
He loved soccer, scuba diving, golf, travel and hunting. He was a good friend to all.
He journeyed to heaven with his father on November 14, 2004. He is survived by his grandparents, Louis and Barbara Banahan Baine of Jackson, MS; his mother; a sister, Sarah Elliott McMurray; a brother, Bradford Clark McMurray; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Reverend Clark and Elsie Jane McMurray.
His loved ones are very precious to Him and He does not lightly let them die.
