'I worked at Palm Beach Tan where Berri tanned! I remember her as a beautiful warm face that came in! She was quiet and sweet! I just found out yesterday that she passed away and I was very upset! There are some customers that you just have a connection with and Berri was one of those customers! She will be greatly missed but we are lucky to be able to still see her daughter, Jennifer! :'

'Berrilynn was a true friend of mine. We met in the 5th grade and stayed in touch thru visits and thru email. I was recently asked in a church conference if I could name a best childhood friend that I still had and I quickly raised my hand and said "Berrilynn Burkhart" We played wonderwoman and I remember making a secret fort in the boxes in her parents basement where we hid and played for months until her dad found us out! We were buddies through our highschool years and shared tears and laughter. We shared motherhood tales later on and Berri was one of the first visitors after I had my first baby in Colorado Springs. From then on we were able to see eachother again and I cherrish our time together forever. Her last email to me said that she was going to visit soon cause we'd have so much fun. I will someday visit you Berri, heaven is more bright with you there my friend! I am a better person, mom and wife because I was blessed to know and be loved by Berrilynn Burkhart Scantland. Jon, Jennifer and Jake -your mom was the best of the best and shared often how proud she was to be your mother. I will be praying for you and for Lee. Words fall short. Deepest sympathy and love to Betty and Brad, Bradley, Brandi and Britney. I wish I could have been there with you. Please know I hug my kids tighter and more often in Berri's memory.
