She was born on September 11, 1924, in Frankfurt, Germany and attended school in London prior to growing up in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bertie volunteered with the American Red Cross, Agudas Achim Sisterhood, and the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind. She was a founder and actively engaged in the Happy Hour School for the blind.
She dedicated her life to raising her family and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and a good game of bridge. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Selig Frank; her parents, Getta and Gustav Kahn; and her brother, C. Harry Kahn and his wife Hannah Kahn. Bertie is survived by her sons, Allan Lawerence Frank, M.D., and wife Jolene, and Robert David Frank; granddaughter, Natalie Gwen Frank; grandson, David Dement, and wife Katie; great grandchildren, McKinley and Brooks Dement; sister-in-law, Dorothy Frank; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Agudas Achim Memorial Gardens. Rabbi Johnathan Hodson will officiate.
