Betty Jean Icke passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 84 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on March 25, 1934 in San Antonio, TX to Cecil G. and Pauline Crow. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 54 years Lonnie B. Icke, and son: Larry G. Icke, and brother Wally Crow. She is survived by her sons: Billy Icke (Cheryl) and Michael Icke (Fran); daughter-in-law: Sherri Icke; sister in-law: Mary Ann Cox, grandchildren: Phillip, Josh, Marc, Eric, Stacey, Amber; great grandchildren: Kaylee, Jayden, Audrey, Emery, Luxe; numerous nieces and nephews as well as other loving family members and friends. She frequently thought of others including family, friends, and the community prior to herself. In her early years as a mom, she loved staying at home raising her three wonderful sons. After retiring from NISD, she enjoyed every moment with her husband and grandchildren, sewing, volunteering and taking care of her lab, Joe. The family thanks the team at Regent Care and Heart To Heart Hospice for her care. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, July 1, 2018 6p-9p with a rosary beginning at 7p at the Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. A Funeral Service will be held the next day, Monday, July 2, 2018 at 12p with interment to follow at Sunset.
