You taught us the state song, a tune we'll never forget. You will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything you did for us.

I am sorry I am so late in writing this but I just found out about Betty's passing. I always called her Betty Ruth and in my foggy memory she was probably my oldest friend. My family moved across the street from her family on Alametos in 1947. Betty Ruth and I would climb trees, play ball, hide and seek and terrify the neighbors until her mother or mine would drag us inside. My family moved away a few years later and I never saw Betty Ruth until one Easter at Travis Park. Many years had gone by but I would know her anywhere and I was taken back by her beautiful voice. Anyway, Lorna Gail and DJ might remember me but regardless my deepest sympathies to all her family. I'll always remember her chasing me with a stick or climbing to the highest point in the tree by her house. Tom Tommy Faulkner

Betty Ruth Watts Telford----what a beautiful woman, inside and out. I was privileged to know her at Trinity U in choir and through Rosalind Phillips' voice studio. She was a faithful server, nurturing family through illnesses, giving tirelessly of herself. She put her faith into actions. Praise be to our loving Father for her life of service and teaching. My prayers are with Bill, her children and extended family.

God Bless Betty Watts Telford. I met Betty while attending Trinity University and also became her sorority sister in the 1960's. What a beautiful person she was. Her magnificent singing voice has been added to God's chorus of angels to sing for eternity.

When I think of precious Betty, I picture her playing her gitar and singing kids songs with me to a rapt group of kids at the Holmgreen Children Shelter. She was so beautiful in every way. I am in Colo. and will not make the memorials but I hold all of you in my heart. God's comforts to you. Jessie

I met Betty years ago in Jr. Forum. She was a beautiful person who made others feel accepted and comfortable in her company. I sang with her and learned from her. Sometimes a person enters your life for a short time but makes an impact that lasts a lifetime. Betty did this for me. I know that her family is experiencing immense grief during this time. Please know how special Betty was to me. She was so patient when I joined the choir at Travis Park so many years ago when Bonnie Jean conducted. I could not read music, but I could "feel" it and she recognized that fact. She was always so supportive of my singing even when I was not. She would say, "You sounded wonderful, keep singing." And, I have. I loved her like a sister, and I will miss her so very much.
