

Betty Ruth Telford, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend was born on July 22, 1943 and went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2010, at the age of 67, after bravely fighting a battle with cancer. She shared her final moments at home peacefully surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Telford; daughter, Katherine Biggs and husband George; and grandchildren, Braden and Piper; son, Will Telford and wife, Alicia; sister, Lorna Gail Stone; and, brother Robert Watts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Ruth Watts of San Antonio; and brother, Daniel John "DJ" Watts.
Betty had a life-long love of music and was a dedicated music teacher in San Antonio public schools as well as a children's choir director at Travis Park United Methodist Church where she was affectionately known as "Miss Betty" to many young choir students.
She was a member of the San Antonio Master Singers and appeared in many locally produced Broadway musicals. Betty was also a dedicated member of San Antonio Junior Forum and served in several officer positions including President.
Betty, we love you and miss you. May the Lord bless you. You live on in our hearts and we will be together always.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
