

Beverly Blanchard "Babs" Howeth, a loving Mother and Grandmother, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and her Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 83 on Thursday, June 19, 2008. She was born on May 12, 1925 in San Antonio to Lessie Hilley Blanchard and Grover Cleveland Blanchard. Babs was a life time member of First Baptist Church of San Antonio and a charter member of the Alamo City Christian Fellowship. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and served in many Church leadership positions throughout the years. Babs attended Baylor University. She worked for 26 years as Administrative Assistant to the Principal at Sam Rayburn Middle School. During WWII, she worked as a Lab Technician at Fort Sam Houston for Southwest Research.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodfin Grady "Woody" Howeth, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Howeth Marsh of Plano, TX; son, Woodfin G. "Hap" Howeth, III and wife, Tammy of Harker Heights, TX; grandchildren: Rev. Woodfin G. Howeth, IV and wife, Robin of Dayton, TX; Stephanie Howeth Wilkerson and husband, Jason of Fayetteville, AR; Benjamin M. Howeth and Olivia C. Howeth both of Harker Heights, TX; great grandchildren: Abigail Jane Howeth, Annalise Kate Howeth and Jonah C. Wilkerson; sisters: Betty Blanchard Childers and husband, Howard of Tustin, CA and Marcia M. Grant and husband, U.S. of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law, William Hart Howeth of Waikiki, HI and many beloved nieces and nephews.
