Bil was so friendly and fun. He was so interesting to talk to, and he did love to talk! One thing always stood out. Claudia, everyone knew how Bill felt. You were the love of his life. He felt so lucky to have found you. Our prayers are with you and all of Bill's loved ones. Charlie and Susan

I had the privilege of knowing Bill, working with Bill and loving Bill for the past 9 years. I met him in 1997, shortly after the death of my son and he shared with me that he had lost two sons 20 years earlier. As you can imagine, we bonded instantly and Bill became like a big brother to me, trying to help me through difficult issues and giving me advicesometimes more than I wanted... but always with a good heart. 
Over the next 5 years Bill and I officed together, ate lunch together, traveled together, played golf together and talked about a lot of things. 
In those years Bill had some ?relationship challenges? with the women in his life. Many times we would discuss these relationships over drinks and I would be like his ?Dr. Phil?, but with hair! 
Bill was a member of the Dominion Country Club then and would take me there to play golf occasionally. I was amazed at how comfortable he could be socializing with those guys on the course and then in the Mens Grill 19th hole ? and how he could be just as comfortable spending time in an out of the way restaurant or bar. The thing that mattered to Bill was the person, not what he had. 
When Bill and I traveled together I noticed every morning he worked the crossword puzzle in the USA Today. He tried to get me to do the puzzles or at least help him with them. His word skills were tremendous, usually he had completed the entire puzzle before I got 1 across figured out. 
He knew a lot about a lot of things. One example was his knowledge of religion and the bible. He didn?t use this knowledge to impress or preach to you but when it was appropriate he could use it to help you. 
He also surprised me with his knowledge of movie trivia. He and some of his buddies from Papa?s would talk movie trivia for hours. They actually talked about many things for hours...and Bill kept pace with them all. 
Bill taught me a lot of things, both in the business sense and in life. He had a great sense of humor. On the lighter side he told me that if you have to say something bad about somebody, you can end it with ?bless her heart? and it softens the blow. For example, if you say ?She?s an ugly old woman, bless her heart? it?s not as bad. 
Bill also taught me how to make the perfect martini. Those of you that know Bill well can appreciate this because he was a connoisseur of liquor and wine. His perfect martini started with vodka from the freezer and was never shaken, only stirred gently. He said shaking it could bruise the liquor. As usual, he was right. 
And he taught me how to be a true friend, because he was a true friend. 
I mentioned Bill?s relationship challenges earlier but in 2003 he told me about someone named Claudia that he had become reacquainted with. He said she was awesome, beautiful, easy going, liked to do things he liked and even liked to watch the Spurs and Cowboys! A match made in heaven! I?d never seen him happier than when he was with Claudia. I know they will always love each other. 
I?ll always treasure the times Bill and I spent together and my love goes with him on his new life journey. Bill left this world a better place and left us all better people for knowing him. I also pray for love and comfort for Claudia and the rest of Bill?s family and friends.

I had not seen Bill in some time and so was very upset to learn of his untimely passing. In our interactions at Dominion CC, Bill was always so warm and friendly. I will certainly miss him greatly. My deepest sympathies are with his family at this difficult time.

It was my complete pleasure to be Bill's hairstylist all these years. I had the privilege of hearing many wonderful stories. Stories of his grandson and many more cherished family members and friends. Then many happy stories of Claudia. Bill and Claudia adopted Prissy...a little mistreated dog that needed so much love. When Bill and Claudia picked her up, I thought to myself,,"what a blessed and lucky dog." The next haircut I mentioned what a cutie Claudia is...of course Bill totally agreed. He always shared how blessed he was by Claudia, by his daughter, by his complete family and by David B. I will miss him, as you most assuredly will. God bless you Claudia, his children and friends at this most difficult time..and yes, God bless you too Prissy. Will see you Sunday...call for anything you may need, at all Claudia..and may God hold you and his children and grandchildren and friends in the hollow of His hands and give you rest and peace.

Michael, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I hope you can find peace with him and in your heart. I was sorry to learn of your loss , and I wanted to express My deepest sympathies. Not one of us knows where our road 
Will lead us or where Our road ends.

Bill was a wonderful man he made my friend Claudia very happy. He will be missed.

Bill was a very special man to all who knew him. He was generous to a fault. He loved Claudia with all his heart--in her he finally found true happiness.
