Bill Crutchfield

The Lords faithful servant has gone home. William E. Crutchfield, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in San Antonio, TX. He was born on October 13, 1942, in Louisville, KY, to parents, William G. Crutchfield and Augustine Jones. William grew up in San Diego, CA, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. He proudly held the honor of being a Kentucky Colonel, the highest title of honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Known as Bill to his family and friends, he will be greatly missed.

Bill was a man of great faith with a giving, generous heart. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a devoted follower of the Scripture. Bill spread the love of Christ through his warm personality, his generosity, and his kindness. He was a selfless and giving man, always willing to help anyone in need. While Bill was a successful businessman, what he was best known for was his fantastic sense of humor. Bill was delighted by making people laugh and he had a joke for any occasion. He was a true people-person and he brought so much happiness to everyone that he encountered. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family, spending time with those he loved.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Augustine Crutchfield. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Rosario Crutchfield; daughters Traci Lyn Bocardo, Kimberly Dawn Egolf and husband Francis, Samantha Voelker Galvan and husband Manuel; sons Jason Christopher Crutchfield and William Gabriel (Billy) Crutchfield. Bill leaves behind granddaughters Chanise, Michelle, Shawna, Courtney, Brittney, Kami, Sophia, Lauren, Aria, Lilou, and grandson Manuel; and great-grandchildren Logan, Isabella, Mariah, Meliah, Makenna, Austin, Hayden, Brooklyn, Brayden, Colton, Kylie, Kail, and Peyton.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Porter Loring North Mortuary.
