

Billy Warren, age 76, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, when he passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 25, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. Billy was born on September 25, 1946 to Joe and Irene Warren in the small German town of Muenster, Texas. They owned a dairy farm that they purchased after WWII. In 1952 his parents sold the farm and moved to Forth Worth where his father went to work for Pitney-Bowes. When living in Forth Worth, Billy loved to play baseball, and excelled as a pitcher.
In 1959 the family moved from Forth Worth to San Antonio. He graduated from MacArthur High School in 1964 and attended SAC. College was interrupted as Billy was inducted into and served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 and the reserves until 1972. He spent two years in Germany which resulted in some of his fondest memories. He loved German food and the German lifestyle.
In 1970 Billy went to work for Continental Airlines (now United Airlines), a career that he loved and would last for 40 years until his retirement in 2010. He touched many lives during those years and was highly thought of by his co-workers and travelers from all walks of life. Billy had a passion for helping people and always had a kind heart and a willingness to serve others. He remained friends with many of his co-workers and continued to see them at the monthly CAL Breakfast group.
In 1973 Billy met and married his loving wife, Gloria. They shared many travels and adventures together and were married for 49 years. They enjoyed spending time with extended family, especially at Christmas. He was famous for his pecan pies and they were always requested at family gatherings.
Billy loved to play golf, playing as often as he could. He played in tournaments, as well as with friends, and enjoyed the challenge and friendships. He loved watching broadcast sports including the NFL, college football and professional baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Irene Warren; and his sister, Cheryl Lynn Kee. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Warren; his sister, Beverly Burden (Larry Burden); brother, Chris Warren (Suvenus “Sara” Munjidee); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Billy will be greatly missed.
