

Bobby Roy Castleberry was born in Utica, OK on May 27, 1934 to Roy and Zelda (Thornley)Castleberry and entered eternity on October 4, 2014 in San Antonio, TX. He grew up in Bokchito, OK, and called it “The Capital of the World”. Bob received his BA in Speech from Oklahoma A&M. He spent 2 years in the United States Army and was for many years a carpet salesman for Alexander Smith. Everyone he met instantly became a friend. He had a quick wit and always had a joke ready and utilized them as an after dinner speaker. He was a charter member and a Deacon at The Fellowship of San Antonio. He loved to travel, and visited many countries throughout Europe and Asia. He was proud of the fact that he had driven through 49 of the 50 states. When he wasn’t traveling he could often be found at Jim’s restaurant enjoying a meal with friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Castleberry. Surviving are his sons, John Cole (Jana) and his children, Riley, Michelle and Gregory Cole, all of Anchorage, AK; and King Castleberry of San Antonio.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
