

Bobby Joe McIntyre, age 70, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010 in San Antonio. Bob was born December 4, 1940 in Decatur, AL to parents, Noah and Bessie Mae McIntyre. His family moved to Fort Worth in 1947 where he attended Polytechnic High School and Arlington State College. He later graduated from Southwest Texas College with a BAAS in Hospital Administration. Bob enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a nurse and hospital administrator. Bob proudly served 26 years in the military including enlistments in the Navy, Army National Guard and Navy Reserve. In December 2000 he retired from the Navy Reserve as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. His military career accomplishments include being named Sailor of the Quarter and receiving a Meritorious Service medal and multiple Letters of Commendation. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Noah Gene McIntyre and sister, Shirley Brown. He is survived
by his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara and daughter, Kim. He is also survived by his sister, Pat Goodin and numerous cousins. He will be remembered for his humor, strength and love. He will be greatly missed.
