

Bonifacio (Bo) Berrones was called to the Lord on August 12th, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 28th, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in Los Angeles, California and attended Huntington Park High School, and then attend Los Angeles Vocational Trade School specializing in masonry work. He had a love for classic cars and all types of music, especially live music.
He had an infectious smile and personality that drew people to him and lived his life to the fullest. In 1984, Bo moved to San Antonio, Texas. He worked for Northside Independence School District, Bexar County City Services, and Avanzar Interior Technologies before retiring.
Bo is survived by his mother, Severa C. Berrones, sisters, Andrea (Mark) Swanson, Vera (Mike) Garcia, Irene (Peter, deceased) Settele, his common law wife, MaryHelen Gutierrez, her granddaughter Zeralda and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. He is preceded by his wife, Carolina Berrones; father, Daniel Berrones; sister, Francisca (Fran) Berrones, and brother-in-law, Peter Settele.
A visitation for Bonifacio will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218.
Family will be arriving at 4pm, and will begin to accept visitors at 5:00 PM.
A rosary will take place, beginning at 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will be Friday, August 20, 2021, starting at 3:00 PM, also at Sunset Funeral Home.
A committal service will immediately follow, in the Sunset Memorial Park.
