Brenda Faye Marian Hester

Brenda Faye Marian Hester passed away Friday February 27, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born November 4, 1943, in San Antonio, TX to the late Anton Emil Schoenfield and Minnie Milady Schoenfield. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was admired for her kindness, dedication, humor, and faith. She brought love and laughter to all who knew her. Brenda was a Homemaker and gave unconditionally to her family, friends, and community. She was a devoted Catholic, member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, and a proud member of The Catholic Daughters of America.

Brenda Hester was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jimmie O. Hester, Sr. and her daughter Sherra McClelland & husband Mark McClelland.

Brenda Hester is survived by her children, Jennifer Allison & husband Rob of Winchester, VA, and Jimmie O. Hester, Jr. & wife Emily of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Tyler Hester & wife Kristen, Ben McClelland & wife Shannon, Emily Breiten & husband Brandon, and Lucy, Jack, & Charlotte Hester; great grandchildren, Trent & Riley Hester, Lincoln & Carter McClelland, and Olivia & Bowen Breiten, along with three nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2026, from 6pm-9pm with Rosary recited at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated March 11, 2026, at 11:30 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway Drive, San Antonio, TX 78239, officiated by Fr. Alex Pereida.
