She was a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, godmother, and friend to many. Family was what she lived for, and she tried her best to be at every function to show her support. Some of her favorite things were the color turquoise, White Diamonds perfume, Blue Bell ice cream, Dr. Pepper, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Gregoria Quesada; father Jesus Quesada Sr.; in-laws Marcelino and Josefa Lira; brothers, Raul Quesada and Daniel Enriquez; sisters, Guadalupe Quesada and Susana Blair.
She is survived by her husband, Ernesto A. Lira from Uvalde, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Lira; son, Ernest Lira Jr.; and daughter Patricia Summerville, all from San Antonio, Texas; siblings, Raquel Garcia of Clewiston, Florida, Yolanda Placencia of Clewiston, Florida, Jesse Quesada Jr. of Clewiston, Florida, Bessie Alonzo of Raymore, Missouri, and Joe Quesada of Progreso, Texas.
She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren; Justin, Andrew, Christian, Joshua, Erik, Noah, Christopher, Miranda, Dominic, Ariel, Briella, and Alyssa and 4 great grandchildren; Victoria, Arabella, Isaiah, and Novaleigh.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday September 24, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary West, 1710 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, TX.
Final Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary West on Thursday September 25, 2025, with a procession to the church.
Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 9883 Marbach Road, in San Antonio, followed by a graveside service at Helotes Cemetery on 9925 Leslie Road.
The family has requested to please wear turquoise on the day of the funeral to honor Brenda’s favorite color.
