Brian Arnold Mitchell, Sr.

Brian Arnold Mitchell, Sr., age 78, passed away on December 1, 2023, in Katy, Texas. Brian was born on November 5, 1945, in Houston, Texas, as the third child of Preston and Mildred Mitchell. He joined the Air Force in 1964 and was stationed at Brooks AFB School of Aerospace Medicine in San Antonio, TX where he met his wife, Sylvia. They were married in 1966 and had three children. He received his Bachelor of Business degree from St. Mary’s University and went on to have a successful career in Oil and Gas Accounting where he traveled extensively. He was a history buff and participated in his children and grandchildren’s soccer activities as a coach, referee, and spectator. He enjoyed playing Disney Bingo and Fun Friday trips with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carl Mitchell; his sister, Mary Ellen Dickerson, and his granddaughter Callie Marie Mitchell.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Mitchell; Son and Daughter in Law, Brian and Michelle Mitchell; Daughter and Son in Law, Karen and Brian King; Son and Daughter in Law Randy and Gloria Mitchell; Brother and Sister-in-Law, Mikiel and Pam Mitchell; Grandchildren, Ashleigh, Sean, Colby, Luke, Meghan, Thomas, Gabby, Cruz, Jaydon, and Kaylee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
