Carla Diane Davis

Carla Diane Davis, age 67, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Davis Centeno with husband Billy Centeno and Whitney Claudine Grohman; her brother, Jimmy Brinkley with wife Maureen Brinkley of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Parker Davis Grohman and Mason Brinkley Centeno.

Carla was born in Dumas, AR but was raised in Houston, TX. She moved to San Antonio with her daughters and late husband Daniel Rowland Davis Jr. in 1983. She raised two beautiful, strong, caring daughters whom she dearly cherished and loved. Carla was blessed with two precious grandchildren, Parker Davis Grohman and Mason Brinkley Centeno. While Carla lived with Whitney and Parker the last 6 months of her life, Parker enjoyed watching the morning news with her before school. Mason, besides talking non-stop to G.G., would always call her out when she made a stink!

Carla became a volunteer on the Ambassador Committee of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in 2006 and was a Life Member since 2011. She was passionate about maintaining a beautifully manicured yard and spent many weekends with her DIY projects. When Carla wasn't home she was typically out "putzing" in an antique store or helping family and friends with their own DIY projects.

Despite being ill the last two and half years, she fought till the very end like her typical stubborn self. She will be missed beyond words by many of us and we will always have a special place for her in our hearts.

Carla will be remembered in a celebration of Love and Life for family and friends at Porter Loring North 2102 N Loop 1604 East on Friday, June 16th 2017 at 11am.
