Carla Haas Symons

Carla Jean Haas Symons was born on September 26, 1947, in Harrisburg, PA, to loving parents, William Carl Haas and Gladys Renninger Haas. Following a brave battle with health challenges she was reunited with her parents and son Gregory Alan Symons, on January 10, 2026. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 55 years, Robert William Symons; her children, Scott Symons and his wife Tabitha, Aaron Carl Symons, and daughter-in-law Regina (Sissy) Symons. Carla is also survived by her sister, Karen French (Jim), who shared many treasured moments with her through Scrabble games and more.

A proud graduate of Middletown Area High School in PA in 1965, Carla showcased her talents as a clarinetist in the marching band. Carla completed her nursing education, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and her dedication to helping others. Her career in nursing left an indelible mark on the lives she touched, allowing her to make a difference in the lives of her patients.

Carla’s love for family was evident in all that she did. She cherished her grandchildren: Gabriel, Jackson, Dylan, Sam, Courtney, and Braddley Symons. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, love, and memories that will never be forgotten. Carla will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who remember her for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.

Carla and Bob were long time members of Cornerstone Church. They belong to a closeknit circle of friends who meet together in their homes, worship the Lord and hold each other in prayer. Their loving kindness and prayers uphold the family still.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Cornerstone Church, with Reception to follow.

Burial will be private for the family.
