
On July 18, 2002, Carlos Rosales, Jr., age 56 entered into eternal rest joining his parents Carlos and Genoveba Rosales. He was born and raised in San Antonio, graduated from Harlandale High School, attended Texas A&I University, and served in the U.S. Air Force. Completing his military commitment, Carlos continued his musical education at Texas A&I University receiving his Masters degree. He began his teaching career as a high school band director and over the past thirty years taught in numerous school districts within and around the San Antonio area. He recently retired from the San Antonio Independent School District and prior to reassignment, Highlands High School was Carlos's last teaching "gig." In addition to his full-time position as a band director, Carlos also conducted the San Antonio Community Band for approximately 10 years, participated as a member of the Beethoven Band, a member of the Roaring 20's Band, and various other professional groups throughout the city. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne; his sister, Lydia Rosales; his brother, Robert Rosales and wife Jade, his brothers, Jesse Rosales, and Tony Rosales and his wife, Melva; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at CTRC and Methodist Hospital for their valiant efforts over the past several months. Their smiles, support, patience, and kindness brightened our days
