I'm so sorry to hear of Carmen's passing. I remember her and Frank from Brookdale. May she rest in peace. Such beautiful pictures of her,  her family and friends. Wonderful memories to cherish. May God fill her family and friends with comfort, strength and peace.

Fond Memories  PART 3.
              I have a really funny and fond memory of your dad  too.. again I was at your home in Brentwood and was invited for lunch. Don't know where you and Frankie were... but only your parents were there. Your dad would be sitting in his favorite chair at the kitchen table with this big smile on his face. He said something to your mother in Spanish, and she laughed so hard. When she was able to catch a breath after your dad left the table, she said;    Frank would like me to invite "your friend with the Big Eyes" to the next bbq. Hahaaaa.  He had such a great way of expressing things, and we both laughed and laughed.  		
   	  Never since have I known a more loving, beautiful family as yours. When your parents made the decision to move to Florida I felt bitter sweet. I knew I might not see them again because I have a crippling fear of flying. But we kept in touch over the years for a long time.. not just xmas or bday cards but a call from time to time. And when they moved into the house in Davenport.. your mother sent me a picture of the front of the house.. and there in the grass on the front lawn was a grass image of Long Island!  I have been searching for that photo and I can't find it, or any photos of us. Somewhere in this house is my photo book of your parents and that picture. It was fantastic!  
         Those are my fondest and most loving memories of your parents. Your mother was an angel on this earth. And her children are the epitome of the most wonderful people I have ever known.

Fond Memories  PART 2, 
        The first time she invited me over to your house, I believe it was for lunch, was on a weekend. That's when I met you and Frankie and your dad for the first time. There was always someone coming and going in your house.. it was great. Your parents sure knew how to throw bbqs or as she called it..A Pig Roast! 		 I thought she was kidding.. haha..wow.. The first  time I went to one of your moms bbqs, sure enough.. there in the  back yard was this 'spit' .. and on it a pig! wow!!!...I was dumbfounded. The best pork I ever had at a bbq!  And there were many bbqs after that. 										  I remember one day she invited me for lunch, and she knew I was a gringo when it came to different foods.. so she asked me to taste the stew she was making for dinner, and said it was a different kind of beef... it was delicious, but only after I enjoyed it did she tell me it was rabbit stew. YIKES!! hahaaaa we had a good laugh over that one and yes, all was fine and I didn't lose my lunch either.   Your parents were party people.. wonderful, loving happy people. Did I ever tell you that at some affair they were having, don't remember what for (could have been your sweet 16 bday Evie) Your mother tried to teach me how to Salsa?  yep..  I remember your dad would say.. I need to use 'more hip movement' and then he and your mother would show me how they did the Salsa. They were amazing. They danced it together, not apart. I could never move like that even then, and I have Italian blood so I am no stranger to Latin dance, or a Tango... but they showed me the beauty of the Salsa. (continue to part 3)

Fond Memories PART 1 of 3
Dear Evelyn and Francisco,
          Please allow me to share some wonderful memories of your amazing and beautiful mother.. and my dear friend.
We met in the 1980s.. I believe it was 1984. We worked together in the computer room learning about IBM Main Frame computers. The company 
was PMI Motion Technologies (Printed Motor Industries).  																	Right from the start... it was like a magnet... we both were drawn to each other's personalities.   Carmen was a pleasure to work with. A refreshing breath of air. Always laughing, finding humor in the most difficult situations... and in the 80s working in the data processing environment was extremely tense and stressful! IBM Computers, (Main Frames) the big machines were king, PCs were in their infancy.  But no matter what, Carmen could do what I couldn't. (yeah me, later on, the big Honeywell Network hotshot) back then the data processing dept. worked with charts, which would show what steps the programs take to process information sent to the machine through data entry into specific applications.  It was called a Flow Chart. The DP manager and programmers all worked in the same room with the big machines. Your mother could read these flow charts like reading comic strips in the newspapers!  Something I could not do! ha.. how many times she would show me the logic of how to read them... nada...so she worked with the DP manager, and I did the backups, and tape loading, she did the smart stuff! But you know, her amazing laugh, personality and great sense of humor, never changed.  (continue to part 2)

So sorry to hear of Carmen’s passing. I have good memories of our time at Orange Lake Resort. My sincere condolences to Frank and the family. May she rest in peace.

Carmen was a wonderful person. My wife and I send our condolences to her family. So many good memories of our friend and neighbor. We will miss her. She is with God now. May she Rest In Peace.
