Carmen S. Hidalgo, age 82, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2011. She was born on October 6, 1928 in San Antonio, TX to Ignacio & Refugio Segovia. She retired as a Registered Nurse and worked at the Neonatal Unit at Santa Rosa, Nix Hospitals and for the San Antonio ISD.
Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Hector Vega Hidalgo. She is survived by her brother, Antonio Segovia, Sr.; sisters, Concha M. Segovia and Caroline S. Rodriguez; numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be 4:30 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with the Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be 9:15 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of San Antonio.
