

Carmen J. Jimenez, born in Hillsboro, Texas on July 16, 1919, was called home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2015 at the age of 95. She is preceded in death by her father, Simon Jimenez and mother, Martina J. Jimenez; brothers, Jose, Manuel and David Jimenez and sister, Ysabel J. Soto and husband Antonio; nephew, Antonio J. Soto (Tonche) and wife, Herminia, niece, Guadalupe Soto Pintor (Lupana) and husband Gabrial Pintor.
Survivors include her son, Ricardo Jimenez (Irma), grandchildren, Melody, Brandy and Christopher Jimenez; nieces and nephews, Rachel J. Gonzales (Richard) of Houston, Texas, Rosario (Yayita) Soto Diaz, Ruben J. Soto, Mary Jane Soto-Merritt and Roland J. Soto (Sylvia); grandnephews, Gabriel (Melissa), Rene (Michelle), and Michael (Leora) Pintor, Jacob and Steven Soto; grandnieces, Roslyn E. Rosales, Roxanne S. DeHoyos (Mark), Jeanette Soto and Traci Soto along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.
Carmen touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and leaves cherished memories. Memorial donations for final costs and in memory of Aunt Carmen may be personally given to her niece, Rosie S. Diaz, or grandnephew, Gabriel Pintor.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, January 18, at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
