Carole Ann Braden

A graduate of the University of Iowa, she majored in Education and was an active member of Alpha Zi Delta, where she led as Song Leader. She taught elementary school at Ft. Sam Houston and at St. Mary's Hall.

Carole was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where she taught CCD for many years. She was an active member in St. Monica's Guild, Assistance League of San Antonio, the Gibbons Literary Guild, and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed playing bridge, spending time with friends, books, movies, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Maynard H. Braden. Survivors include a son, William M. Braden and wife Deborah, daughters, Katherine Ann Staton and Elizabeth Blue Braden; grandchildren, Katie and Will Braden and Ava Staton; sister, Darleen Blue Shaw, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
