Caroline Steddom Buck

Caroline Steddom Buck, age 84, passed away September 15, 2012 at her home in San Antonio. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK on January 20, 1928 to Abijah Henry Steddom and Lucille Lockwood Steddom. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, A. Lester Buck, Jr. She attended the University of Oklahoma at Norman and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Prior to the family moving to San Antonio, she resided for over twenty years in Brownsville, TX. where she was an elder in Faith Presbyterian Church and very active in Christian Women’s Club. While in San Antonio, she was a member of the United Methodist Church and PEO, an active member of Bible Study Fellowship and a reading mentor with the Ft. Sam Houston School District. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Aubrey Lester Buck, III of Houston, TX. She is also survived by three daughters, Linda Elizabeth Meyer(Larry) of Potomac, MD, Nancy Buck Ricketts (Bob) of Wilkesboro, NC and Christen Buck Carlberg (Davis) of Boerne, TX, as well as six grandchildren (Matthew Ricketts, Elizabeth Meyer Kirkpatrick, David Ricketts, Travis Meyer, Adam Ricketts and Dillon Carlberg) and three great-grandchildren (William Ricketts, Benjamin Ricketts and Lila Kirkpatrick, just five days old). A Celebration of her life will be held at 1 Towers Park Lane on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
