Caroline R. Gunn

Caroline Rebecca (Mckinnie) Gunn, 89, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama and former longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully at home in Montgomery, Alabama on December 8,2020. Caroline was born on April 26, 1931 in Hampton, Arkansas to Amos Lee and Etta Mckinnie.

Caroline served in the United States Air Force before retiring to care for her children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard L. Gunn Jr., their son, Robert L. Gunn; her parents and several siblings. She is survived by her children Richard Gunn (Earlyn) of Montrose, Co; daugher, Patricia Cadwell (John) of Montgomery, AL and daughter, Janet Rabbia (Joe) of Temecula, CA and her brother, Rudolph Mckinnie (Mary) of Dallas, Texas. She is survived by 8 grandchildren Tommy Gunn, Crystal Castle (Daniel), Ethan Gunn, Jennifer Cadwell, Christopher Cadwell (Whitney), Robert Rabbia (Jen), Collin Rabbia (Liz) and Gabrielle Rabbia. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren Alex Skifton, Colton Cadwell, Harper Rabbia and Clark Rabbia. She was affectionally called Mom, Momma, Grandma, G-Ma, and GG. Caroline was a longtime member of Saint Matthews UMC of San Antonio, Texas where she was secretary for several years. Caroline was an amazing wife, mother and Grandmother, she will dearly be missed.

Burial service with full Military Honors will be held on December 29, 2020 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10am with Pastor Dave Felps of Saint Matthews UMC officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to your favorite charity.
