Carolyn Richmond

She was preceded in death by husband Dr. Harry Achilees Richmond, Jr., daughter Linda Merritt Richmond, and brother Harrison Germain Morgan. Survived by her son Cliff Morgan Richmond, daughter-in-law Janet Fay Werner Richmond, grandchildren Amy Louise Richmond, Abby Morgan Richmond, Betsy Fay Richmond; daughter, Louisa Catherine Richmond Kates, son-in-law Bruce Lawrence Kates, Jr., grandchildren Brian Lawrence Kates & wife Sarah Marie Cozad Kates, Tyler Harrison Kates, Morgan Catherine Kates in addition to her sister in laws Betty "Sandy" Richmond & Margaret Richmond and many beloved nephews and nieces.

Carol graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and was a Registered Dietitian before raising her family. She enjoyed hand weaving, fishing, the outdoors and traveling through the United States National and State Parks especially the Western Region. Carol created many beautiful hand woven treasures for her family and was a member of the San Antonio Hand Weavers Guild.

She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church before its closing and current member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends at Carol's home which she shared with her daughter's family, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm
