Carson Walter Joel Brooks, age 2, went to be with the Lord and passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family on July 31, 2012. He was born to Ken Alan Brooks and Alexandria Sky Leal-Ramirez on August 10, 2009. Though his time with us was way too brief, his loving and playful personality brought joy and laughter to everyone blessed to know him.
Despite the many health challenges he battled since birth, Carson’s sweet, determined, and silly spirit always shined through. He was always the happiest, cutest, red-headed, ball of fire and possessed the most beautiful set of blue eyes that lit up a room.
Heavenly memories of Carson will forever remain in our hearts. Like his funny running style, where he would throw his arms back and position his head forward while he ran as fast as his little legs would take him. He definitely thought he was running at a high-speed! Or like the times when he would take a tug at his little cousin’s hair when nobody was looking, then make that innocent face of his as if to say, “Who did that?!” Or the sheer joy and pleasure he received from hearing music. Oh how he loved music! The way he would sing and dance to the beat of any song all day long always brought a smile to everyone’s face. Carson also found joy with electronics, with which he most likely knew how to navigate through a phone better than most adults! These are only a few of the divine memories of Carson.
Carson was truly a blessing from God. He was an amazing little boy who touched the lives of so many through his good nature and willpower. Many have said “Carson is a fighter” and he truly was. Let his spirit, bravery and courageous character be an example in our lives. His purpose has been filled on this temporary place we call earth. God has welcomed him into his kingdom. Let us rejoice as Carson’s light shines brighter than ever as he smiles down upon us. Until we see you again Carson, we will always love you.
