Catherine, the only child of Raymond and Cecile Close Carlisle, possessed a vibrant joie de vivre as a prominent artist in San Antonio where she was adored by close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Captain Edward C. Johnson and daughter, Joanne Burgess-Rubinstein. Catherine is survived by son, Edward; daughter, Sandi Prescher and son-in-law, Rabbi Gordon Rubinstein; grandchildren, Sean Marie, George Burgess, Miranda, Nicholas Johnson, Arthur, Brenda, Skipper and Walter Prescher; beloved by her seven great-grandchildren along with great-great grandchildren.
Catherine will be buried in a Graveside Service on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 2:00 in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catherine's Estate for final expenses.
