Cecil Brady

Cecil Dophis Brady was born July 18, 1930 in Gonzales, Texas, to Lulu Rochester and Ollie G. Brady. He was raised in Caldwell County and joined the United States Air Force in which he would serve 3 years.

Cecil later met Nellie Fay Beckham and they were married on December 26, 1971. They resided in San Antonio until his death.

Cecil loved to play poker, shoot pool, collect coins and go on scavenger hunts. He made many happy memories with his wife, Fay, family members and many friends dancing at the Farmer's Daughter, Randy's Ballroom and the original Bluebonnet Palace.

Cecil had four children: Wayne Brady and wife Delaine, Sharon Karnes and husband Bruce, Carole Bullock

and Brenda McGhee. Four grandchildren: Julie, Jesse, Dustin and Amanda, eight great grandchildren: Everest Sawyer, June, Isaac, Eden, Levi, Ayla, Scarlet, Rhapsody, and Braxton.

A visitation for Cecil will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Following the visitation will be a commital service with Air Force honors at 10:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
