Cecilia Liz L. Garza, age 91, of San Antonio, died Saturday, June 8, 2002. Cecilia was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She is best remembered for being compassionate, generous and a confidante. She was quick-witted, humorous and had a keen mind up until her death. Cecilia was an intelligent, independent individual who always motivated her children and grandchildren to achieve to their fullest potential. She enjoyed helping others, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening and had a love for animals. Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, Serafin A. Garza and son, Bobby L. Garza. Survivors: son, Serafin L. Garza; daughter, Martha L. Garza; sons, Richard L. Garza and wife, Irene and Gilbert L. Garza and wife, Melissa; daughter, Cecilia Garza Spencer and husband, Rick; sons, Albert L. Garza and wife, Blanca and August Garza; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
