Cecilia McNeely

Ceci was born in El Paso, Texas on September 28, 1948, to Josephina Jacquez and Joseph Salome Ornelas. She attended Odessa College, Texas and the University of Texas at El Paso, Texas. She worked in a variety of jobs that included Registrar for Johnson & Wales College and a US Air Force Civilian Civil Engineering Tech. Ceci enjoyed watching all sports activities and traveling. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters in her church.

As a devoted wife and mother with a loving and kind heart, Ceci was always willing to help others and had a generous spirit about her. She had an infectious laugh that brought many smiles to those around her. Her presence brought an aura of warmth and joy to those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Ceci will be remembered for her strong faith, kind heart, fun loving spirit, and unwavering love for family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dr. James Phillip McNeely; daughters Kinshasa, Denise, and Erika; grandchildren Nichole, Peter, Abby, and Riley; and her beloved dogs, Aussie and Tully; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

We ask that everyone join us in celebrating Cecilia's life and honoring her memory with loved ones near and far. A private interment will be held by the immediate family in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
