Celestina Palacios De Leon

Born on April 6, 1936, Celestina lived a life filled with joy, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. For 40 years, she proudly served as a cashier at Teka Molino, where her warm smile and kind spirit became a familiar comfort to many in the community.

Celestina found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, dancing, singing, cooking, gardening, and sharing laughter. Her love for celebrating the holidays brought the family together year after year, creating traditions and memories that will be carried on in her honor. She was always the heart of the home, generous with her time, her food, and her love. Helping her family brought her true joy, and her presence was a source of strength and comfort to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Z. DeLeon; her daughter, Guadalupita Rios; her grandson Rene Rios, her parents, Narciso and Belen G. Palacios; her sister, Gregoria Dominguez; and her brother, Willie Rodriguez.

Celestina is survived by her loving children: Andrew P. Rios Jr., Agapito J. Rios (Esther), Angelita P. Guerrero (Gilbert), Ricky D. Rios (Jane), Belinda G. Rios (Domingo Jr.), Martin P. Garcia (Cheryl), and Cristina R. Garcia (Jose); her brother, Bernardo Palacios; her sisters, Rosamaria Rodriguez and Belen Lampkins (Marvin); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Friday, October 24, 2025, our doors will open at 8:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John Berchman Catholic Church, located at 1147 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78226. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.

Celestina’s legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
