He is preceded in death by his parents, Celestino and Amalia Arcos and son, Jefferey Wayne Mendez.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Monica Mendez; children, Rose Mendez (Bryan Segrave); Monique Celeste Mendez and Andrew Mendez (Alejandra); sister, Ruth Rosales and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
A visitation for Celestino will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd, with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road.
