Ceryl Ed Seiler, born August 23, 1917, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2010. “Grandpa” was blessed to be surrounded by his loving family during his final hours here on Earth with us. We know the angels rejoiced, as did Ceryl, when at last he finally met His Good Lord and Savior. Just days before he told us, “I am happy! I am glad! I know Jesus! Amen!”
Ceryl was born to Alma and Ed Seiler in Cibolo, Texas. He met his sweetheart, Pearl Wuest, while attending church in Bracken, Texas. They fell in love and were happily married for 71 years. Ceryl and Pearl not only shared a love for each other, but also a love for Christ that brought them comfort through the years. This faith has been instilled in their family and will continue to shine for many generations to come.
Ceryl was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, Herbert Seiler. He is survived by his dear and loving wife, Pearl; his two children, Elaine Harbour and husband, Dr. William Harbour, Kenneth Seiler and wife, Roslyn Seiler; his six grandchildren, Michelle Hanigan and husband, Dr. Jim Hanigan, Dr. Nicole DeCamp and Dr. Jim Taira, Lori Rhoads and husband, Steve Rhoads, Tammy Foster and husband, Scott Foster, Stephanie Thomas and husband, Jimmy Thomas, William Harbour and wife, Jennifer Harbour; 18 great-grand children; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, March 19th, at Sunset Funeral Home. A funeral for Ceryl will also be held at ten o’clock in the morning at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 20th.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ceryl’s name to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. “Grandpa” loved his family to the fullest and will be cherished in our hearts forever!
