Chance Leslie Lynn Bert "Poker" passed way in San Antonio, Texas on Friday, November 30, 2018. He is survived by his sister, Paula Washington; mother, Mary Alice Bert, who passed away on December 7, 2018 and his niece, Genevieve .
Son, brother, uncle, friend - these titles don't sum up what Chance was to
those of us who loved him.
Chance took part in many things, and liked to give back to the community
and those in need of help. He always spent his Thanksgiving's serving food
at the Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner, helped clothed the homeless at
Christmas Under the Bridge and always made time to go to assisted living
facilities to cut the seniors hair.
He turned his passion for fashion into his work with the titles of
Cosmetologist, Special Effects Make-up Artist, Tailor, Seamster, and Runway
Coordinator.
When Chance was not doing hair and make up for his clients, he was involved
with The 13th floor (The Haunt), The Piñatas in the Barrio (Fiesta Royalty)
and Studio 88 School of Music among many others.
He was not one who just walked or meandered through life, he ran. He chose
to live life and make every moment worth living.
