Mr. Cox graduated with a Bachelor in Business at Trinity University.
He was a combat Veteran and flew as a bombardier and instructor pilot in World War II. He worked as a contract negotiator at Kelly AFB until his retirement in 1987.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jessie Cox; daughters, April Groos and husband, Edward, Garnett Wietbrock and husband, Doug; son, Thomas Cox and wife, Helen all of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Jessie Murray Baskett and husband, Keath of Lovington, N.M.; grandchildren, Jessie, Lela and Sarah Baskett and Carrie Wietbrock; sister, Frances Tanner and brother-in-law, Paul Walthall, both of San Antonio, TX.
