

Charles L. "Chuck" Cunningham, 57, of San Antonio, Texas passed peacefully on June 2, 2009 at Vitas Hospice of San Antonio. Chuck was the firstborn child of George and Pluma Cunningham. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 22, 1951.
He married Sharon Jean Ivison in San Antonio Texas on June 28, 1974. All three children were born in San Antonio Texas. Nicole Rea Jones, Candace Rose Cunningham and Charles II "C.J." Cunningham were dearly loved by their father.
He graduated from Browntrail School of Preaching in Euless, Texas in 1971. His first preaching position was at Natalia Church of Christ and through the years he continued to preach God's Word and influence the lives of those God brought to him. He always had a Heart for helping lead people to a Christian walk.
He graduated from UTSA with BBA/PHI in 1997. He was hired by the State Comptroller August 27, 1997, as a sales tax auditor. He transitioned into the IFTA Auditors group and eventually became part of the Training and Technical Support Group. Chuck was assigned to Audit Headquarters and worked out of the San Antonio Audit Office.
Chuck became a Shepard of the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio Texas in June of 2005. He was known as a strong leader, inspiring teacher, faithful Christian, loyal friend and loving father.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Oak Hills Church/Missions, 19595 IH 10 West, San Antonio, Texas.
