Charles G. Everitt, age 71, passed away July 27, 2015, in Camp Wood, Texas. Charles was born on April 24, 1944 in Wawarsing, New York. Charles or "Chuck", that's what his friends called him, was an honest and devoted man. He loved his daughter, his grandchildren and was one that knew what the value of friendships and loving your neighbors meant. He was also a man that lived the motto: "Duty, Honor and Country." Charles served in the U.S. Army for over 23-years. He volunteered to serve in Vietnam and willing accepted all the challenges that military life had to offer. He married the love of his life while he was stationed in the Republic of South Korea. After retiring from the Army, he enjoyed life by getting into his RV and spending time in Myrtle Beach, SC. Charles fought a long, hard battle with dementia, until the Lord called him to where old soldiers go, where there is no more war. He was preceded in death by his father, Grant Everitt and his mother, Anna Ortiz and husband, Antonio; his wife, Soon He Everitt. Charles is survived by his daughter, Toni Martinez and husband, Ryan; grandchildren, Tyler, Austin and Leana; brother, John Everitt and wife Kathy; and one other brother, two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
