

Charles was a talented musician and published writer. He enjoyed writing poems and plays. He gave guitar lessons to veterans. He was a very caring man and will be remembered as very generous, kind and thoughtful. A lover of animals, at one time he had 18 dogs! He was a sponsor who helped raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation. He was a devoted Pop Pop to his granddaughter and loved his daughter more than life itself. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Mouton, Sr., Mary Arline Plumber; brother, Clyde Mouton; and sister, Agnes Juanita Kirven. Charles is survived by his daughter, April L. Mouton; stepfather, CSM Ret. Joe J. Kirven, Sr. and wife, Arvella; stepmother, Elta Mouton; granddaughter, Quinn A. Beekly; sister, Julie Evans and husband, Malcolm; brothers, Joe Kirven, Jr. and wife, Lori and Michael Todd Plumber; sisters, Claudia Mouton McBrayer and husband, Roy, Jr. and Charlotte Mouton Goudeau and husband, Marcus. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved pets.
