

Charlie was born on October 20, 1939. He proudly served in the Air Force for 20 years and returned again to serve his country as a civil servant working in the Fort Sam Houston Medical Command another 20 years.
During Operation Desert Shield/Storm, he was assigned as a civilian computer specialist to support the war effort. He worked in a tactical mobile van operating medical logistical systems in Saudia Arabia and was there during the Kobar Tower attack. For these efforts, he was awarded the achievement medal for civilian service.
Charlie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was blessed to enjoy his retirement years spending time with family and helping to raise a grandson. He and his wife traveled to many places around the world together.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betty Sullivan; children: Kevin Sullivan, Susan Wolfe (Denny), and Leisha Sullivan; stepdaughters: Cyndi Roberts and Christi (Grady) Bates; grandchildren: Austin and Tanner Wolfe, Dallas Hidalgo, Alyssa Roberts and Samantha Sullivan; sister, Ann Johnson; brothers, Patrick and Jimmy (Carol) Sullivan; brothers-in-law: Stanley (Eileen) Friedeck and Jerry (Carol) Friedeck and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the owners and entire staff of Garden Ridge Assisted Living facility for all their care and loving support. Thanks also to Heartland Hospice for their concern and ministering to both Charlie and his family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3rd from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring North.
