Throughout his battle with serious medical issues in recent years, he demonstrated unparalleled courage and strength. Known as Charlie, Dad, Grandpa, Tata—he had an extraordinary impact on so many.
He is survived by his wife, Anastasia, children Jennifer (Christopher), Charles Michael (Donna), Melissa
(Christopher), and Karen (Carl); grandchildren Logan, Ethan, William, Joshua, Kylie, Evan, Roan, Kalea and, Kensie, his sister Rosemary and her family.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Lucas, parents Mathilde and Charlie, sisters Jane, Tillie, and Mary.
Charlie had a career with Southwestern Bell / AT&T for 33 years and earned his bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and his master's degree from Wayland Baptist University. After retiring, he continued to enjoy life by staying active—enjoying time with family, golfing, watching movies, his passion for cars, and countless home improvement projects. One of his great pleasures was helping family and friends with projects, both big and small. It was one of the many ways he showed his love.
Many would describe Charlie as hard-working, honest, forthright, supportive, and encouraging. Later in life, one of his proudest accomplishments was achieving his higher education, which speaks to his determination and desire to seek knowledge. The love and guidance shared with his children and grandchildren inspire the importance of dreaming big and striving to pursue educational and individual goals. Charlie truly lived so that he could enjoy time with his family as long as he could. While we all miss him, he will continue to remain in our hearts.
