She graduated from Marshall High School in 2002 and was an honor student at Abilene Christian University. Cheryl was a member of Sigma Theta Chi Social Club.
Cheryl had a passion for Missions and Children's Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Karlton Halbert.
She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Jones; father, Ernest Karlton Halbert; brothers, LCPL Glenn Karlton Halbert, Brett Bartlett Halbert, Derran Jones Halbert; sister, Darla Dyan Halbert; grandparents Glenn and Mildred Jones; grandmother, Mae Halbert; great-grandmother, Annie Mae Halbert; boyfriend, Chris Meeks; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
