

Christian William Pfister passed away on March 18, 2026, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 69. He was born on August 25, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas, to William Victor Pfister and Mary Julia Evans Pfister. Christian attended St. Pius X Catholic School for grades 1-8 and was a proud graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School. He went on to attend Trinity University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude in 1978. He continued his education at The University of Texas, receiving his MBA in 1982, also graduating summa cum laude. Christian had a successful career in contract administration at companies located in in South and Central Texas.
Christian was an accomplished pianist and a state champion typist, reflecting both his artistic and technical abilities. He was an active member of Toastmasters, a worldwide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
Christian also had a lifelong enthusiasm for automobiles and had a deep love for dogs, especially Great Pyrenees, of which he raised and cared for three during his life. In his younger years, he cherished family time spent on vacations in Port Aransas and weekends sailing on Canyon Lake at the Lake Canyon Yacht Club, creating memories that remained close to his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Christian is survived by his brother, Jeffrey E. Pfister (Denise); his niece, Annie Pfister; his cousins: Babette Rose, Laurale Pfister Scott, and Nora Anne Rider DiLemmo; and his trusted Great Pyrenees companion, Wally.
Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3303 Urban Crest Dr., 78209. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., 78266.
