She served honorably in the U.S. Army and continued with the Department of the Army as an Operations Officer for 30 years in civilian life.
Chris and Bill married April 1, 1996.
She was proud of the fact that she was a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and was a founding member of the Vietnam Women's Memorial. Chris also managed to receive a Bachelor's degree and an MBA while raising a family. She was also a Texas A&M Master Gardener.
She is survived by her husband, William E. Jones; children, Danielle and husband James Demarest, Alexandra and husband Michael Cantu, and Victoria Monsalvo; one grandchild, Vincent Monsalvo; father, Dan Ciametti; three brothers, including Jimmy; and a son from a former marriage, Tripp Monsalvo and wife Irma.
