Christine was a graduate of The University of Texas, and a member of Alpha Phi, PEO, and First Presbyterian Church.
She was the last survivor of the McKenzie Construction Company family who were responsible for many historical buildings within the San Antonio area, such as The Tower of Life, Medical Arts, S.W. Bell, and Olmos Dam.
Christine was the epitome of a "Southern Lady", very gracious and loving.
She was beloved by all that knew her.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Starr, Jr. She is survived by; son Edward Peyton Starr and wife Patty of Beaverton, OR., daughter Teena Starr Larson and husband Col. Ret. Randy Larson, grandchildren Edward Peyton Starr, Jr., Darci Elaine Starr Magee, Randy and Tyler Larson, Tommy and Michelle Kay, and 10 great grandchildren.
