Clara Louise P. Borrego

The daughter of Louis and Aurora Polanco, she was born and raised in San Antonio. Clara was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson H.S., Class of '52 and a member of the Lassos Drill Team.

She celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2014 with her husband, Robert Borrego, Jr. and their family in their home. Clara, a devout Catholic, devoted her life and heart to her family. She was always supportive of her husband's family business, El Popo and Adelita Tortilla Factory (at 1130 Fresno Dr.) - A family tradition of 77 years.

A special treasure and joy were her grandchildren.

She traveled to many places in her life, especially loving the island of Kauai, Hawaii.

Clara is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Donna K. Books-Borrego and is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Borrego, Jr.; children: Robert Borrego III, M.D., Louise Annette Borrego R.N. and Roger Edward Borrego; grandchildren: Adrienne Borrego Horn and husband, Jeremy Horn and Robert Anthony Borrego IV; sisters: Irene Ortiz and Angela Polanco; brother, Archie Polanco and wife, Irene and a host of other loving family members.

Visitation begins at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16th at Porter Loring on McCullough.
