Consuelo Aurora Arriaga

Consuelo Aurora Arriaga, a beacon of love in her family, passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 76, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 20, 1948, in Laredo, Texas, Consuelo spent her life nurturing those around her with unparalleled love, grace and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Samuel Sanchez and Parents: Valeriano & Consuelo V. Arriaga, Grandparents: Gabino & Fernanda Arriaga and Eulogio & Martina Vasquez, Sisters: Rachel Arriaga, Ida Minerva Venegas, and Ruth Arriaga- Mata, Brothers: Valeriano Arriaga Jr and Eulogio Eleazar Arriaga.

Consuelo's compassionate spirit lives on through her children, Margarito Sanchez Jr (Melba), Albert Sanchez, Sandra Ramirez (Frank), Minerva Reyna (Guadalupe), and Ruby Balboa-Casias (Ruben), Connie Balboa-Rodriguez (Luis) and with numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren who together embody the love and resilience she instilled in them.

Consuelo's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will be forever remembered by her family, who were the center of her universe. Her memory will continue to guide and inspire them, as well as the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.

A visitation for Consuelo will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM AT Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A mass of resurrection will occur Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:30 AM, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 236 E. Petaluma San Antonio TX 78221 followed by burial at Mission Park south, 1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio TX 78214.
